ABOUT THE PANELISTS

Brad Phillips (moderator) has trained thousands of media spokespersons and public speakers including a presidential candidate, several members of Congress, Olympic athletes, top CEOs, directors of nonprofit organizations and heads of government agencies. He’s prepared speakers for TED Global and TEDx Talks, the World Economic Forum in Davos, presidential debates, and thousands of other business- and issue-oriented presentations. His book, The Media Training Bible, has been Amazon’s top-selling title on the topic since its release in 2012. Prior to starting his businesses, Brad worked for ABC’s Nightline with Ted Koppel and CNN’s Reliable Sources, The Capital Gang and Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer.


Rob Feeney is a survivor of The Station Nightclub Fire. He is a trained Phoenix SOAR Peer Supporter and Phoenix Advocate. In 2013, he was awarded the Phoenix Society Advocacy Award for his work on behalf of fire sprinkler legislation. He is a blogger for NFPA Fire Sprinkler Initiative, a member of Burn Survivors of New England, and a firefighter/assistant fire prevention officer at Onset (Massachusetts) Fire Department.


Sadie Wilcox​ has been facilitating creative projects with pediatric patients since 2008. She has previously worked at the San Francisco Art Institute, the Asian Art Museum, and the Children’s Creativity Museum in San Francisco. Sadie received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan. After surviving a violent arson assault in 2002, Sadie became an active member of Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors and trained as a Phoenix SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery) volunteer. She has also coauthored resources and served on the board of directors at the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.
