ABOUT THE PANELISTS
Dr. Lise Deguire (moderator) graduated from Tufts University and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Hahnemann/Widener University. She is the author of her memoir, Flashback Girl: Lessons on Resilience From a Burn Survivor. She is a blogger for Psychology Today and has appeared on NPR, NBC, ABC, FOX, Sirius XM and numerous podcasts. Dr. Deguire writes a blog about psychological resilience issues and is a national keynote speaker. Audra Bryant is a performing artist, life coach, and burn survivor. Audra was burned at 18 months old and did not look at herself in the mirror until she was 25 years old. Audra created this show to assist others in shifting their perspective and seeing their beauty "scars and all!"
Jon Zawislak was burned in a home explosion in 2019. Since then, he has overcome homelessness, overwhelming medical debt, and stigma within his small town. He lives in Alpha, a small town in Northern Michigan, where he now holds public office and plays a leadership role in the Alpha Restoration Committee.
